mrleedy movie reviews

Netflix and Me. I love the freedom Netflix gives me to take as long as I want to finish a film. And I find that more and more often I am taking a longer time to finish movies. I have thought to incorporate a "First Five Minutes" review of films because I am sometimes forced to turn away if the movie doesn't grab me right away. That said...

300 - Shit storm. Awful, awful film. I think their target audience is everyone who loves Nickelback. Including Nickelback themselves. Awful movie. First 30 minutes: crap. Last hour: crap. And what was with the blatant steal of the Emperor from Star Wars? (Scratchy, feeble voice) "We must consult the oracle!" Homoeroticism, you have your own film.

Black Book - Paul Verhoeven's WWII thrillah. Sexed up Jewess has life torn apart by Nazis in the waning days of the war. The whole film had the feel of one of his other movies, 'Starship Troopers'. I quite enjoyed the first thirty minutes, until I had to turn it off due to boredom. I finished it in four more sittings, finally deciding it was, more or less, crap.

Yoga For Indie Rockers - So far, only five minutes into this one. It looks AWESOME. Strangely erotic. I'm sure once I put on my loose fitting pants I shouldn't have a problem. I smile just knowing this exists and smile again knowing that I went head and rented it. Well, I HAVE been wanting to try some yoga for some time now.
